What is Ad Free+?

TextNow Ad Free+ bundles together our most popular paid features, now available at one low price!

Here's what you get with TextNow Ad Free+:

  • Ad Removal: Removes the ad banners from the TextNow app.
  • Call Forwarding: Forward the calls to your TextNow phone number to any other phone number in the US or Canada.
  • Phone Number Locking: Locks your TextNow phone number to your account for as long as you have Premium, and your number won't be recycled for inactivity. 

Ad Free+ features are offered at monthly rates, and will auto-renew every month. Here's how you can turn on Ad Free+

Tap your TextNow main menu to see the button to Remove Ads:

From here, you can choose to have your Ad Free+ feature auto-renew monthly. 

 

Help! I signed up for Ad Free+ but I'm still seeing ads!

If you're signed into an Ad Free+ account but you're still seeing ads, log out of your TextNow app (under the TextNow Settings menu > Log Out) and log back in.

    Hey Yirou! There is no way to extend your premium past the monthly renewals.

    As it stands, your subscription will renew on Aug 10th.

    @Marie- buying premium is absolutely available in Canada! Unfortunately, we don't have our wireless service available yet, but you can definitely upgrade to remove ads, lock in your number, get call forwarding, and more!

    Can you please send a screenshot of your receipt from the Play Store for the upgrade to community@textnow.com so we can look into this for you. Your account is currently showing as Free so we will just need to see the receipt to manually upgrade the account for you, thanks!

    @John- In any account (free, premium, wireless), you can change your number once every 15 days

    I received a text from TextNow saying that my premium subscription will expire in 5 days and to visit the store to extend it, however I haven't paid for a premium membership. If anything is going to change on my end, I would consider paying for one, but I'm not sure how to go about getting premium when my "get premium" button on the app says "premium" with a check mark. Do I have to wait until it expires?

    Hey Crystal! If you see the "premium" with a check mark next to it, then that would mean that you are currently subscribed to the premium subscription.

    If you'd like to cancel it, you can simply click on that "premium" button and it should take you to your account management.

    Can i get my calls forwarded to my cell #.....will it change the # my girlfriend needs to call while she is in co jail? An will it cost more fore her to call from the facility she is in when calling collect with the forwarding than the calls just to the app like we have been using?

    How can I unsubscribe from premium? It's honestly a waste of money and even after I did everything I will see ads and I just want to stop having premium.

    Hey @Raquel- Since you have a premium subscription, you can certainly set up call forwarding through the settings of your app. However, please note that since we do not support collect calls, that call won't go through in the first place, even to be forwarded. So unfortunately, that still won't work in your case. Your girlfriend can only call you on your regular number.

    @Berry- I'm sorry to hear that! You can certainly cancel your premium through your Google PlayStore app/account, however, if you are still seeing ads, that is a serious bug that we want to look at. Please email me at community@textnow.com with screenshots of the ads that you are still seeing, so we can take a look!

    Hey @Tom- happy to hear you're enjoying the service! Unfortunately, we only support number porting for our wireless service.

    @H- your yearly premium subscription should renew on its own. Otherwise, you will need to first cancel your current subscription and sign up for the yearly all over again.

    @Michigan- I'm afraid that your number isn't currently available to be reassigned to you.
