Here's what you get with TextNow Ad Free+:

  • Ad Removal: Removes the ad banners from the TextNow app.
  • Call Forwarding: Forward the calls to your TextNow phone number to any other phone number in the US or Canada.
  • Phone Number Locking: Locks your TextNow phone number to your account for as long as you have Premium, and your number won't be recycled for inactivity.

Tap your TextNow main menu to see the button to Remove Ads:

From here, you can choose to have your Ad Free+ feature auto-renew monthly. 

 

Help! I signed up for Ad Free+ but I'm still seeing ads!

If you're signed into an Ad Free+ account but you're still seeing ads, log out of your TextNow app (under the TextNow Settings menu > Log Out) and log back in.

    if i buy the premium and hopeful i don t get all those ads ... and i use it to forward to another phone where i can make and have unlimited phone calls .. will i still be restricted of forwarding any calls according to my credit ?? so if i don t hv credit , i won t be able to forward calls ?

    Hi Ash,

    You definitely shouldn't receive ads once purchasing credit! Since it will be TextNow making and receiving all of the calls still, you will still need account credit to make International Calls and any extensive amount of calling. You will also only receive and be able to make the calls while in WiFi.

    My Premium subscription expires tomorrow. When I try to renew it it takes me to a blank screen. How do I renew it so I won't lose my phone number?

    Hi Carl,

    You'll have to wait for the subscription to expire before it renews, but don't worry! Your phone number won't expire unless you aren't using it. :)

    Your account does have the premium subscription enabled. Can you try to log out and log back into your account?

    I cannot upgrade. Every time I click one of the buttons it just says "OK"

    Hi John,

    Sorry to hear about the issues you're having upgrading your application to Premium! You may need to try uninstalling and reinstalling your TextNow application and try it again. If you continue to have trouble, can you clarify which button you're selecting that then only gives you the "OK" option? You may just need to select "OK" to confirm the upgrade.

    I still cannot upgrade. I've tried to click the buttons to upgrade either monthly or annually and I just get an "ok" dialog box that pops up.
    I've tried reinstalling and that also won't work
    This is on an iOS device

    At this point I would request that you please send us a couple screenshots of the steps that you're going through to try to upgrade that subscription so we can see exactly what you're experiencing. Unfortunately, since upgrading to our premium application is an in-app purchase, we cannot do it manually for you on our end.

    According to my system it looks like you've paid for Premium. On your device, you can manage your subscription by tapping on the word Premium at the top of your TextNow app main menu.

    Our plans will provide you with data service that will allow you to use your device over the Data network whenever you don't have Wifi! I would recommend checking your data coverage here as well to ensure that the data will work in your area :)

    I have purchase premium over a month ago and cannot get rid of the ads. I have cleared the cache, deleted data and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. PLEASE HELP!

    @ Dylan, I took a look at your account and it doesn't look like you have subscribed to the premium application which is why you're still seeing the ads in your app. You can upgrade to the premium service within the TextNow app menu or the Google Play Store.

    @ Nicole, If you would like to remove the TextNow application from your device you will have to do it yourself since we do not have access to your phone. You can uninstall the app directly through the Google Play Store on your phone.

    I too am having issues with the app not recognizing that I have paid for a subscription. I have tried all of the steps listed above including a clean reset of my phone to no avail. I have put in a support ticket but yet have to hear a reply. I know it's only 2.99 but still I've paid for it and can't use premium.

    Thanks for reaching out. I have taken a look at your account and on our end it looks like you have not subscribed to the Premium application. Since all in-app purchases, including premium subscriptions, are handled through the Play Store, you will need to contact their support team to figure out why your payment didn't upgrade your service. http://bit.ly/1ZEoT1t

    Hi,
    I purchased premium to get rid of ads on my phone's app. It comes up still showing ads. I even did the steps with clearing the app cache and data, it's still there upon logging in. I have a screenshot of myself actually purchasing it. What is going on? :(

    In this case, I'd recommend that you send us a request at orders@textnow.com with a screenshot of your premium subscription receipt, so we can escalate and try to get this all resolved for you :)
