Elastic Calling

Elastic Calling is TextNow’s unique ability to have our calls choose the best route for your call to improve quality. TextNow tests the quality between wifi, 3G/4G and voice, and switches on-the-fly to the path that gives you the best calling experience.

You can find those settings in your TextNow Settings menu, under Calling > Elastic Calling:

How do i add newcontacts without dialing the number

Hey Mickie! On the mobile app, we pull the contacts straight from your native contacts app (if you have the permission set to allowed). So adding a contact there should make sure that it can populate when attempting to call or message it from the TextNow app. Otherwise, you would need to create a conversation with the contact in the app (by either making a call or sending a text message) before being able to "Edit" the contact's number into their name.
