Here's what you get with TextNow Ad Free+:

  • Call Forwarding: Forward the calls to your TextNow phone number to any other phone number in the US or Canada.

Tap your TextNow main menu to see the button to Remove Ads:

From here, you can choose to have your Ad Free+ feature auto-renew monthly. 

 

Help! I signed up for Ad Free+ but I'm still seeing ads!

If you're signed into an Ad Free+ account but you're still seeing ads, log out of your TextNow app (under the TextNow Settings menu > Log Out) and log back in.

    Is it possible to upgrade to premium from the PC app or on the web? I cannot find the upgrade to premium button.

    Our premium application upgrade is currently only available for purchase through our Android or iOS applications.

    If i get premium textnow can i get my old text messages back that are gone due to the app beimg uninstalled by accident? Beacause i reinstalled the app and all of my messages where gone and i never deleted them.

    Hi Rosa! I'm afraid that if your messages were deleted or recycled due to inactivity, then we won't be able to retrieve them.

    I have paid for auto renewal every month but I’ve switched from an android to an iPhone and can’t figure out how to cancel my subscription. How do I do this from an iPhone now? I can’t find it under subscriptions on this phone.

    I want to only send and receive text messages from text now. Can I do it with the $2.99 a month plan? Do I need wi-fi access to do it? If I need cellular can I hook to a hotspot on my iPhone and use that as wifi?

    Hey @Mmm0412- since your premium subscription is set up through your Google Account, you'd need to remove it from your Google subscriptions. You can access your Google PlayStore account and select "My Subscriptions" to remove TextNow.

    @Chrisgcs1994- You can cancel your premium subscription (if it's a free trial you signed up for) through your TextNow app. Tap on the "premium" in the TextNow app's menu- check subscription status- from the next page, you'll be able to cancel it.

    @Steve- Currently, even with a free app, you can send and receive free texts and calls within the U.S and Canada unlimitedly. You would need a Wi-Fi connection or your own data signal to do so. Even with the premium, it will not grant you with data service to use off of Wi-Fi.

    @Sam- I'm afraid that your number is not available to be reassigned to your account at this point in time.

    I have upgraded to the premium version and I am still seeing ads along with its telling me it will be up March 14th but it says subscribe for a year get month free

    It looks like your premium subscription did not activate because your account is still showing that it is free. I would ask that you please send a screenshot of your premium receipt purchase to community@textnow.com along with your username so we can get this taken care of for you.

    Hi there! I'm not quite sure what you're referring to, unfortunately.

    It looks like you're only signed into the web browser, so please note that upgrading to premium can only be done through the mobile app on Android or iOS. You would not be able to upgrade through the desktop app or the browser at this point in time.

    It does seem like you signed up for the premium, but it's not currently set to auto-renew. So it should be expiring on the 20th of this month.

    Hi - I have monthly Textnow plan and when I try to renew my monthly subscription I keep getting an error message "purchases could not be completed" contact itunes. My itunes account is working fine please let me know as soon as possible.

    Hey Algi! I'm not sure what that error would be pointing to, as all premium purchases are handled by either the Google PlayStore or Apple iTunes.

    I would recommend to reach out to iTunes for any further information regarding this.

    Additionally, it seems as though your account has already been changed to a free one, so you should be able to try to purchase premium outright again, instead of going through a "renewal"

    Hey @KiKI- your premium subscription is tied to your Google account. So as long as you sign into your new phone with the same Google and TextNow accounts, I believe that the premium subscription should also transfer over.

    @Jordan- You would need to first cancel your wireless subscription. After doing that, you can log out and log back into the app, open up the menu and tap on the "Get premium" to follow the rest of the steps.

    Hi Jasmine,

    You can go into the International Calls section of your TextNow app and you'll be able to see when your subscription is scheduled to renew, either next month or next year.
