How To Send A Picture With TextNow

Who doesn't like sending a picture to your friends? Here's how you can with TextNow!

TextNow gives you two ways to send a picture - either from your existing pictures on your device, or directly from the camera on your device, and you can do it all without leaving the TextNow app.

How To Text A Picture Directly From The Camera:

  1. Open your TextNow app and either start a new conversation or open an existing conversation.
  2. Tap on the camera icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your conversation page, to the right of where it says Type a message

  3. The panel on the lower left shows what's in your camera's frame right now. You can tap and hold the circle to record a short video, or tap it once to take a snapshot...

Not at all! If you're having issues with sending a picture message, it may be that the picture itself is not saved on your device or that your recipient's plan doesn't include mms messaging. Whatever the case may be, try to speak with one of our live chat representatives for a better understanding of the error you're running into and how we can help you!

When I'm logging in, it gives me an option to open the app through Face Book...What is the difference from logging in normally either on your cell or computer or by logging in through Face Book? Is there more options available to me if I use Text Now through Face Book? Also where I don't have the camera icon to send a picture message, would I be able to send pictures if I were logged in through FB? & when using Text Now through FB would I be able to send pictures straight from my FB picture albums? PLZ HELP ASAP!!!!!

Hey Jenny! So there a couple of things to consider here:

    1. Logging in through Facebook will make no difference, other than the fact that you don't have to remember your TextNow login credentials, and can simply sign in through your Facebook ones.
    2. If you're using the web browser exclusively, the "camera" icon won't show up when you're creating a new conversation (sending a contact a message for the first time). Once you do have an active conversation, the camera icon will show up in the text box where it says "write a reply" over to the right.

Hope that helps a bit more!

Why can I not find pictures that were sent to me last week an last month? They were important photos that I need for tomorrow's court appearance! How can I retrieve them?

    Hey Dean!

Usually, mms messages cannot be stored for more than 30 days. Now, the ones that were sent last week should still be available, unless you deleted them specifically. At this point in time, they may only be retrieved thorough a subpoena request if they are deleted from the app. You can find out more information on how to obtain the order here!
